DJM Studio uses Onsuki to take bookings and payments. This page explains what we hold about you, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
WHAT WE HOLD
- Your name, email address and mobile number.
- Your birthday, if you choose to give one. It is optional, you can remove it at any time from your account page, and nothing about booking changes if you leave it blank.
- The names, and where you give them, the birthdates of the people you book for. Most of these are children.
- Anything you tell us that we need in order to keep somebody safe in class — an injury, a medical condition, an emergency contact.
- What you booked, what you attended, what you paid, and any payment receipt you upload.
We never hold your card or bank details. Where you pay by transfer, the money goes straight to DJM Studio and we see only the receipt you send us. Where you pay by card or e-wallet on this site, the payment is handled by PayMongo, a licensed Philippine payment processor -- your card details are given to them and not to us, and we are told only whether the payment succeeded.
WHY WE HOLD IT
To give you a place in a class, to tell you about that class, to take payment for it, and to keep our own records straight. We use health and emergency information only to look after the person in the room. Where you have given us a birthday, we use it to send a birthday greeting or offer, and for nothing else -- we do not use it to work out your age for any other purpose.
WHO SEES IT
Staff at DJM Studio. We do not sell your details and we do not share them for advertising. Our booking software is Onsuki, which stores the data on our behalf and may use it only to run the software for us; the same is true of the services Onsuki itself relies on for hosting, email and payments. Where the law requires us to hand something over, we will.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep booking and payment records for as long as we are required to for tax. Those records are our books, so they outlast a person's time with us rather than being cleared out when they leave.
CHILDREN
Most of the people who attend are children, and their details are given to us by a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may ask at any time to see what we hold about their child and to have it corrected, and may tell us to stop using it for anything beyond our own records.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, object to how we use it, and ask for a copy. The Act also gives a right to have information erased in the circumstances it sets out; where that applies and the record is not one we must keep for tax, we will do it by hand — ask us. We answer within a reasonable time and at no cost.
If you are not satisfied with our answer you may raise it with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
